gut renovation blends modern design with energy efficiency and custom millwork, vaulted ceilings, and open staircase

W Construction worked closely with the homeowners & architect to bring their vision to life on this gut renovation. From the exterior new drains, water service, and back water valve were installed, along with an upgraded gas line to meet increased demand. Windows, doors, and roof were all replaced including a new EIFS wall at the rear elevation. Waterproofing, new fencing and a full width multi-tier deck completed the exterior work. On the inside a new 2 storey central staircase w/ glass guards to maintain sight lines acts as an architectural focal point. Relocating the kitchen and adding a new 3-piece bathroom/laundry suite in the basement provided a more cohesive and functional flow. Custom millwork throughout, combined with white oak floors and a huge 8x8 custom stained wood patio slider unify the space. Vaulting the Primary bedroom ceiling had a big volume impact and application of spray foam throughout the home means the clients will be comfortable for years to come!
